A PERSONAL NOTE
For over two decades, I’ve worked alongside parents navigating the unpredictable, often overwhelming journey of raising teens and young adults.
My background in college mental health and family coaching has given me a front-row seat to the struggles parents face—feeling unappreciated, misunderstood, and sometimes at a loss for how to connect with the person their child is becoming. I’ve seen firsthand how easy it is for expectations and assumptions to get in the way of truly seeing and supporting our teens, and how hard it can be to find practical, compassionate guidance in those tough moments.
My own journey as a parent and professional has taught me that the transition to adolescence isn’t just about our kids growing up—it’s about us growing, too. I’ve spent years studying evidence-based approaches like DBT and I’ve helped countless parents learn to regulate their own emotions, communicate more effectively, and nurture empathy for both their teens and themselves.
